About

There are certain chapters of our lives that quietly shape everything that comes after them. For me, that chapter began with Lex & Lynne.

But before I tell you about the business, I have to tell you about the name.

Lex & Lynne was inspired by the relationship I share with my sister, Lindsay. The "Lynne" in the name was always for her. Long before it became a business, it represented our bond, our creativity, and the life we imagined alongside one another.

After Lindsay passed away in 2021, the business evolved alongside me. What had once represented the two of us gradually became Alexis Co., not because her story had ended, but because mine was entering a new chapter as I learned to navigate grief, motherhood, and the person I was becoming.

Not a day goes by that Lindsay doesn't influence the way I create. She reminds me to choose beauty. To notice small moments. To create generously. To trust my intuition. To make things that matter and to believe in myself.

Her spirit is woven into every piece of jewelry, every knit, every photograph, every handwritten note, every illustration, every website, every gathering, and every package that leaves my studio. In many ways, Alexis Co. continues to be a conversation between us.

For more than a decade, Lex & Lynne was my women's, bridal, and menswear boutique, located inside a small historic flatiron building in the heart of Sewickley, Pennsylvania. What began as a small dream became so much more than a place to shop. It became a place to learn, to observe, and to discover what it truly means to build something with passion.

Every season introduced new independent designers from around the world through my doors. Every collection carried its own story, point of view, and way of seeing beauty. I had the privilege of watching emerging brands find their voice, celebrating as designers grew into internationally recognized names, and learning firsthand what it meant to create something deeply personal and meaningful.

I also witnessed another side of the creative journey.

I watched incredibly talented people make difficult decisions...to close businesses they had poured their hearts into, to scale back, to redefine success, or to choose a life that better reflected who they were becoming. Those moments stayed with me.

They taught me that success isn't always about growing bigger. Sometimes success is having the courage to change direction completely. To honor yourself first. To trust that the next chapter may look different than the last.

Looking back, those years shaped the way I approach every creative project today. Photography. Design. Branding. Jewelry. Knitwear. Each one begins the same way: with curiosity, craftsmanship, and the belief that beautiful work deserves to be made slowly, intentionally, and with love.

Over the years, the work itself has evolved alongside me.

What began as handcrafted beaded jewelry eventually became Lex & Lynne, a boutique dedicated to thoughtfully curated independent designers from around the world. Eventually, the boutique gave way to Alexis Co. Today, Alexis Co. has become a home for everything I love to create: handmade knitwear, meaningful jewelry, photography, branding, editorial storytelling, and creative collaborations. Sometimes it exists online. Sometimes it comes to life through pop-ups, events, or custom commissions. Each chapter naturally led to the next.

When I look back, I realize Alexis Co. has never really been about products.

It has always been about people. The artisans who shared their extraordinary craftsmanship. The designers who inspired me. The friendships that grew through creativity. The families who trusted me to create for them. The places that changed my perspective. The community that believed in me. And, always, my sister.

So this isn't simply the story of a brand. It's the story of a creative life. One that continues to evolve through jewelry, knitwear, photography, branding, travel, community, and storytelling.

Alexis Co. continues to change because I've allowed myself to change alongside it.

Looking back, I realize the business was never a destination. It has been the vehicle that has carried me through every season of my life. And continues to do so. And I love it.

And if there's one thing Lex & Lynne, now Alexis Co., has taught me, it's that the most meaningful creative lives are never finished.

They simply keep evolving.
